Bring the distinctive sweet, aromatic and licorice-like flavor of anise to your creations with LorAnn Natural Anise Oil. This concentrated, food-grade essential oil delivers authentic anise flavor and is especially well suited for chocolates, confectionery coatings, ganache, fudge, fondant, icings, candies and baked goods. Its oil-soluble nature makes it an excellent choice for applications where oil-based flavoring is preferred. For chocolate and coatings, use approximately ¼–½ teaspoon per pound. As a natural characteristic of Anise Essential Oil, the oil may crystallize or solidify at temperatures below 15°C (59°F). If this occurs, gently warm the bottle until the contents return to a liquid state, then shake before use.
